FORMATION OF RANJITGARH RIFLE CLUB

PUNJAB POLICE ACADEMY PHILLAUR

Ranjit Garh Rifle Club, Phillaur has been established and have been got registered vide register No:- 269 Dated 14-6-1996. It has also been registered and affiliated with Punjab Rifle Shooting Association, which is the further affiliated with National Rifle Association of India.
The Shooting ranges at Ranjitgarh Rifle Club, Punjab Police Academy, Phillaur are best in India for their Technical perfection, boarding and lodging arrangements, distance and over all lay out ambience and atmosphere.These ranges have been in high demand by the shooter from all over India and National Rifle Association of India for the purpose of horsing and organising.

Ranjit Garh Rifle Club is the only privileged Shooting Club to host 2 National Level Shooting  Coaching Camps for the Shooter of National Squad selected for international level competitions, besides a large member of other shooting coaching camps. Ranjitgarh Rifle Club, Phillaur is the Rifle club in India to host 5 national level , 2 all India level, 2 North India, 2 Punjab State & a large member of Distt. level  competition in a very short span of 10 years.

The foundation stone of this complex was laid down by Dr. G. S. Aujla, IPS Director PPA Phillaur on 8-10-1996.

The buildings was Inaugurated by Sh. P.C. Dogra, IPS Ex. DGP Punjab on 18-9-1997.

The Punjab Police Academy, Phillaur has the Honour to have the best possible modernized 10, 25, 50, 300 meters trap and skeet shooting ranges. A shooting team has been established in this academy. The shooting team is regularly participating in All India Police duty Meet & National level shooting Championship Competition brought laurels to Punjab Police and Punjab State. So for from 1995 to 2007, Punjab Police Shooting team has won 529 medals (Gold-205, Silver – 179, Bronze –145 Medals), “ over all Championship Trophies, and “individual Best Shot ‘Titles’.

  • 20 Shooter Participating in the shooting competition in 50 Mtrs. Shooting Range. 

  • 10 Shooter participating in the shooting competition in 100 Yards, 200 Yards, 300 Yards & 300 Mtrs. Big Bore Shooting Competition.
