The 69th Independence Day was celebrated with much patriotic fervour at Maharaja Ranjit Singh, Punjab Police Academy, Phillaur today. Dr. N.K. Arora, IPS, IGP-cum-Addl. Director, PPA, Phillaur unfurled the National Flag.
Dr. N.K. Arora said India becomes a sovereign and democratic nation after
emancipation from the clutches of the British rule on this day. Every year 15th August is celebrated with great enthusiasm and gaiety. Dr. Arora also said the rich legacy of unprecedented sacrifices made by martyrs would act as a lighthouse to guide the destiny of future generation.
